What Do I Need for Class?

Class Descriptions

 

YOGA


BEGINNER YOGA
For those new to yoga, this class will start with the basic “Hatha” poses providing opportunities for individual modification to meet your own physical needs. You will learn to utilize the power of your own breathing, increase flexibility, learn proper posture and alignment, and decrease tension and stress. The only requirement is a desire to feel better and a teachable spirit.

 

ALL LEVELS YOGA
Offers all the benefits of beginner yoga while incorporating intermediate and advanced modifications for maximum individual goal fulfillment.

HOT YOGA
Doing Yoga in a room heated to 100º+, your muscles become more flexible. You will also sweat--a lot--so bring both a beach towel and a hand towel, a change of clothes, and plenty of water. Recommended for Intermediate to Advanced yoga students.

 

BEGINNER HOT YOGA
For the novice yoga student who wants to enjoy the Hot Yoga experience but at a slower, gentler pace.

 

YIN YOGA
As opposed to "yang" yoga which is your standard form for dynamic yoga asanas, Yin Yoga is designed to rapidly increased flexibility through long stretches (up to 5 minute) and fewer poses. 

 

YIN-YANG HOT YOGA New!
Forty-five minutes of intense vinyasa flow (yang) yoga, 45 minutes of Yin Yoga, all in the unique heat of the Hot Yoga environment.

YOGATES
Combines the basic elements of Yoga and Pilates.

 

KUNDALINI YOGA

A series of asanas done in conjunction with a specific breath that intensifies the effects of the poses with the purpose of freeing energy in the lower body and allowing it to move upwards. Kundalini sequences consist of rapid, repetitive movements done with breath or holding a pose while breathing in a particular way.

 


PILATES


PILATES MAT
Based on Joseph Pilates original floor routine, this class is designed to primarily strengthen your core (abs, hips, gluts and lower back).

 

 

CARDIO/AEROBIC-based


CARDIO Kickboxing
Punch, jab, and kick your way into shape with this music-powered all-out cardio kick-butt workout.

SCULPTED BODIES


TONING 

Incorporates the musical party atmosphere of ZUMBA with the body sculpting benefits of lightweights. 

 

BODY SCULPTING
Utilizes the low-weight/high-repetition method to create tone and the beautiful muscle you’ve dreamed about.

 

BOOT CAMP

Classic interval Armed Forces workout by a real Army Vet!
